If you return an item to a library other than the library where it was checked out, the item will not be checked in until it reaches the owning library. You will remain responsible for the item while it is in transit and for any associated overdue fines if the item reaches the owning library after the due date. WHY? A 40% cut in state funding to public libraries makes cuts to the Lakeland Library Cooperative delivery necessary.
WHAT ABOUT MATERIALS INTERLIBRARY LOANED FROM OTHER LAKELAND MEMBER LIBRARIES? Any materials checked out from a particular library, including items interlibrary loaned, may be returned to the library where it was checked out and the materials will be checked in. |
